2 parcels, bundle of Bulletins & a "Referee". Am having any parcels that come for me after I sail sent on to "Micky" Tuson.
Wednesday 5th
Sailed this afternoon at 4.30. During the morning we embarked about 1,000 men & officers at Kantara. This consists of 25 of our Squadron 600 leave men from "A" details Mosscar & convalescents.
Neither of the Stinsons are on board. The Boat is of roughly 9,000 tons, being very roomy but very high out of the water on account of having no cargo on board.
The troop deck runs the entire length of the ship being just under the first deck.There is plenty of light & ventilation. The ships seems in excellent condition & very clean.
There is a tremendous amount of traffic in the Canal now, & yesterday at least 2 dozen boats must have gone past us in the Canal, some of them passenger boats.
