we did not have time to scatter & so just got off our horses & laid down as flat as one could get. Our casualties for the Bde were 75 horses killed, 5 killed & 30 wounded, some of whom died later on.
Just after the Huns went away, 6 of our machines went over laden with bombs, one of the Huns was circling above them but did not attack, nor did they molest him as they had bigger work on hand. We heard later on that they bombed a Turkish Cavalry Bde, dropping 54 bombs on them with excellent results.
These Taubs are the most demoralising things used, I think, as apart from the damage they do they play up with ones nerves so you see a plane above you & when he drops a bomb you hear it whistling of course & are sure that it is going to fall on you head.
