Such a good home, for such she had been for almost 5 weeks.

Entrained in special trains for an unknown destination for which we left at 8 pm. At midnight we detrained at a place called Moascar (Arabic for camp) about a mile out of Ismailia. Marched ¾ of a mile through heavy sand to the Isolation Camp, because we had had several cases of mumps on board.

About a mile away is the Canal running through L[ake] Timsah which was a mile across & in which we used to swim. 

Have been doing drill while in Isolation Camp, including one week of mounted work. Were out in a sand storm one day & for about half an hour we could not see more than about 10 yards & got covered all over with dirt & sand, in our eyes, ears, etc.
