Arrived in Sydney on morning of 15th at 10 am & anchored off Watsons Bay. It was a squally morning & raining most of the time.

We were a clean ship & expected not to go into quarantine camp. Landed during the afternoon & went up to a big canvas camp on top of North Head. We were in Mountain Battery tents - 6 in each only & we have straw mattresses to lie on. From our elevated position we can get an excellent view of Manly & the Harbour.

There is nothing to do except go fishing, tackle being issued for this. There is only one parade a day - 0930, to have temperatures taken.

The grub is fair but we will be glad to get out of here.

Expect to get out on Monday next.
