Decided to take up signalling as I was tired of doing rifle exercises etc & accordingly entered the Signalling School which lasts 4 weeks & after which I go on to Big signalling school at Zeitoun for some weeks.
Saw Ainslie Kingsford one day he came down for the day from Kantara (about 25 miles up the Canal) where the L. Horse are camped at present.
I have been playing quite a lot of Rugby football since coming into details & am in the team representing the Details Camp. Have played against a Welsh team from the 53rd Divn, also a representative time[?] from that Divn.
During the former game the rain simply poured down for about 20 mins & needless to say we got soaked which however did not prevent us from carrying on. This is the first rain we have seen since coming to Egypt.
Have played several matches against the N.Z.M.R. [New Zealand Mounted Rifles]
