cannot stand heavy shelling. Tis rumoured that this front is to be held by Colonial troops & that the Australian Troops are coming back here & relieving all the English troops here. I wish it were true but one cannot believe all one hears.
Tis remarkable however how many of these rumours do come true. For instance we heard sometime ago that the Indians were coming here & were going to relieve the English Divns.
Never get any news now as we are forbidden to take any enemy or Allied press on the wireless & no news is sent out here by our own people. We take the German press sent out by Vienna at 10 pm & get it translated by a corporal in the battery who speaks German & French fluently.
We never post it up as it would put our show away. Tis the only way we can ever learn anything that is going on on this front even except in our immediate locality.
