Today at 12 am an armistice with Turkey was to start. The news was taken very quietly here there being no demonstrations except tonight for a time when a lot of flares & fireworks were sent up. We came back into the 'drome today having left the battery for good.

Tis rumoured that we are going to England (Wireless only) which accounts for our being withdrawn & I sincerely hope it turns out to be true but the war may be over by Xmas before we get to England.

Some of our chaps while out bombing fish this afternoon killed a shark about 7' long.

Yesterday an armistice was signed with Austria.

Some of the mechanics here put a 20 HP Ford engine into a confiscated Turkish boat, with excellent results, attaining a speed of as much as 10 knots.

Went for a trip across the bay in her this morning towards Acre but was disappointed in not landing as we were limited for time. It was not very rough, just a swell but it made me sea sick - afterward however I was quite alright. There were 8 on board & the boat went exceedingly well.
