They were removed during the night to a Field Hospital for wounded Turks at Sheria.
There were hundreds of rifles & bayonets lying about including some saw edged ones. Also there were German Gas masks, Packs, eating implements, dishes etc & all kind of uniforms & clothing lying about. Every one was collecting souvenirs & needless to say I was one of them. The Infantry had got the best however as they were first in there.
10th
Word came through about 2 am this morning that we are to go back to Karm which will certainly spoil our 48 hrs rest. We cannot follow up in pursuit & so are going back for a spell to Karm which is 17 miles from here by road.
As we went through Sheria on our way back we saw about 500 prisoners including a General going back. They are an awful looking lot of men but some of them are of fine phisique.
