Inspected by Gen Chauvel today & of course had to clean our bits & stirrup irons again but they did not get much polishing.
Our Boxing Tourmament lasted 2 nights but did not bring forth any white hopes etc. Perhaps the good men did not care to enter or else there is not much boxing talent among the L. Horse.
We had a Brigade Sports meeting on 12th. The main item of interest was a challenge race for £100 aside between 2 men of our Bde. One of them a Queenslander named Schoeler won easily by 6 yds,
Afterwards the same man won practically everything in the Bde Championships including the 75 yds Chmps 100 yds; 220, hop, shin & jump, high jump, & long jump & won about £22 in prize money apart from his share of the £100 stakes. The stakes were raised by the men & officers of the regiment but I think he would get about £25 out of it.
At the finish they had a mule race
