Went to the Church at Heliopolis this morning (17th Dec). It was a French Church (RC) & of unique architecture. It is very solidly built, of white stone with a small dome on each corner & a bigger one on the Centre of the roof.
The service was in French except of course the Mass which is in Latin & the choir consisted of French school boys. There is a service later in the morning in English for troops from the School of Instruction.
Returned to Moascar about a week before Xmas as the school broke up for a fortnight.
Saw a peculiar method of catching fish while down at Moascar this time. OnĀ of the lake one day I saw a couple of boats containing natives who were stamping about trying to make as much row as they could. It seems that they had their nets on the surface of the
