It contains mostly relics of Ancient Egypt as mummies etc & would be very interesting to one who is a student of archaeology. Personally I found it rather dull.

The mummies are by far the most interesting. They are made by a process of pickling. The internal oragans are removed through the side & the brain is taken out through the nose. The body was then filled with rags etc to give it an appearance of fulness. It was then swathed in bandages with the hands crossed on the breast. The bodies were covered with hieroglyphics to keep out evil spirit & to preserve the body.

The Paprus of which there was quite a good deal is very old & was made from a reed of the same name. Some of the articles in the museum were over 4,000 years old.
