We had a YMCA representative on board who did practically nothing to promote concerts & sports etc which he was there to do, but spent most of his time with the 1st Class passengers & among the nurses we picked up on the way round Australia.
Had a very calm trip round to Melbourne & no one was sick. Steamed through the Rip at about 6 am on 21st & as we sailed up the Bay it began to drizzle with rain which was accompanied by a cold wind. Tied up to the wharf ar Port Melbourne at 9 am & immediately went ashore on leave until midnight. WSent to all the Public buildings not omitting the law Courts where we heard several cases going on. At night went to the theatre to see "The Girl in the Train". Melbourne gives one the impression of room & space as
