Our aeroplanes have been passing to & fro all day long in fours & fives, on Bombing Raids & still we have not seen a Hun machine. Our air service had gone a long way towards the success of the stunt.
We are not meeting with the water difficulties which they prepared for & its just as well pleased we are too that such is not the case.
21st
Have not left Habelieh yet & are not likely to do so for some days as we are hopelessly out of the pursuit. The infantry have been having a pretty rough time owing to lack of water, as it cannot be got up to them as quick as they advance & there is not much where they are now.
Anzac Divn took Nazareth at 6 am this morning & Haifa is expected to fall at any time. Some German troops (Jagers) are fighting vey stubbornly here now, but all the Turk thinks of is flight.
Every gun the Turks had - 71 - between Hableh & the sea on his first defensive system were taken which shows how swift was our first blow & they must have been surprised as in any amount of places we visited the occupants, has been disturbed in bed.
