gunners. If this happens it will leave him seriously weakened on this front.
Great preparations are going on now behind our line for the next big advance which is expected to come off next month. Two fine metal roads have been built practically up to the front line, one right on the coast the other a few miles inland. The Light railway has been pushed up to within a mile or so of the line.
There are great masses of cavalry down near Jaffa, all waiting for the push. The Brigade of Aus Cav is formed now & are training to use swords. There must be easily 30,000 cavalry from France & Meso, Yeomanry & L Horse.
Have been doing a lot of fishing lately & have been averaging about 10 a day for last week or so. We are the only two in the battery who seems to be
