SHEEP FIRST SENT TO VICTORIA FROM VAN DIEMENS LAND & NEW SOUTH WALES
Sheep were first introduced into the District of Port Phillip now named Victoria from Van Diemen's Land in 1834 or 1835 and were sent from New South Wales in 1836. The opening up of this District was opportune for the Sheep farmers of New South Wales, they found a good market & ready sale for their stock in this new southern market.

On wheat 60 lbs is allowed to the bushel

The Yield of flour from a bushel of wheat is generally Considered to run from 48 to 50 lbs.
Steel mills throw 50 lbs to the bushel
The Steam mills at Maitland on Hunter River throw 50 lbs to the bushel of wheat
The Steam Mills at Armadale in New England throw 48 lbs to the bushel of wheat
