NEW SOUTH WALES
THE PEEL RIVER DIGGINGS.
The Peel River diggings, generally known as [?],
are divided into two Classes.
The field on the west side of the River belongs to the Australian Agricultura [Agricultural?] Company - The gold field at present worked is situated to the east side of Peel River, it is situated about five miles from the Hanging rock diggings, this field was discovered in March 1852 - The gold at these diggings is Coarse & nuggetty, [nuggety] and of a good rich Colour -
Throughout the ranges, & down the Creeks in this district, gold is universally diffused in greater or less quantities, there is every reason to suppose that the digging population will increase when new & rich deposits may be found to give to this auriferous region the same value and importance which attach to the western & Southern diggings -
