The decrease in the export of gold is accounted for by the large amount of gold Coined at the Sydney Branch of the Royal Mint averaging as it has lately done from 60.000 to 80.000 Sovereigns per week
The full amount of the Import Markets for the year 1855 was £4:669:139 of which £2.669:896 was from the United Kingdom
