Glen Innes is situated on the {can't read} river this is one of the numerous tributaries of Macintyre and has its source in Beardy plains at Benlamond. There is a Government reserve at Glen Innes. Allotments were sold here in 1854 and a township of some importance is already beginning to show itself. The township is situated at an elevation of 3694 {feet ?} in the {can't read} of the Pacific {can't read}. The township is distanced from

Glen Innes is fifteen miles from Dundee, thirty eight  miles from Bolivia & sixty miles from Tenterfield. A post {can't read} from Glen Innes to Wellingrove a distance of 14 miles.
