The horses from New England may be described, as highly [?] be Commended, from their being a Strong Serviceable Class, and from a Considerable Number of the horses of this District, being already broken in harness.

Much attention has been paid of late years, by the breeders of Stock to the breeding of Strong Animals for harness, they have brought to New England Young [Entires?], the Stock from Some of the best horses in Australia, The Consequence of which is, the Stock at present is good, and has proved Suitable for every purpose, Is much adapted for Military. Those from light Mares May be described as Cracking horses. –

HORSES FROM THE TICHMOND, CLARENCE, & MACLEAY RIVER

May be described as Strong horses Suitable for Cavalry Regiments or Any Military purpose whatever –

They are pretty well bred, with plenty of bone and Muscle, and being reared in a warm Climate they are More adapted for India, than those bred in New England.

The horses bred in the Mountainous Country of the Macleay, Richmond, & Clarence Districts, are Considered More durable than those bred on plains, They Carry from 12 to 14 Stone weight, and I am within the weight when I state this.

They are generally used after Stock, and, for this reason, not a great  Number of broken in draught horses May br obtained in these Districts –   Their being used after Stock, the roughness of the Country
