HEAT OF THE ATMOSPHERE IN SYDNEY 31st JANUARY 1855

The heat all day yesterday was intense, & in the sun it was almost unbearable. The maximum temperature of Flavelle Brothers' thermometer was 106° in the shade. Several parties were Sun Struck & the probability is that, during this day, more cases will be revealed.
About nine o'clock last night a brickfielder came on, which immediately altered the temperature & there was every appearance of rain at a late hour.
