16.000 acres which divided by the number of Sheep on the station gives 3 1/5 acres for grazing each sheep and that 16,000 acres at one
half penny per acre would be £33.6.8d & at one farthing would be £16.13.4, also that the grazing of a sheep would be something more yearly than one farthing per annum to amount to this Yearly Tax of £20. 8. 4d.
If a station runs ten thousand sheep on 25 square miles no more than £10. is charged for the run but if six thousand sheep are run on fifty
square miles a charge of £20 yearly.
Twenty five square miles are calculated to run fifteen thousand sheep but if twenty thousand sheep are run or are made in the returns to Government for this run of ground, no more than £30 [ 50?] would be charged, for having this extra number of sheep grazing on the ground of three licenses [licences].
