PROCESS OF SHEEP WASHING BY THE WATER SPOUT.
The above drawing exhibits the process of Sheep washing by the Spout.
From the Yard the Sheep are thrown into the Soak pen, from this they are passed under the frame work into the Second enclosure, where they are Kept in Motion, and are from this passed under a Sappling and taken by the Spout washers who hold each Sheep under the Water Spout.
By the process the wool of the Sheep is effectively Cleansed. The Sheep are then placed on a landing Stage where they are allowed to leave, which they do, when a portion of the water is drained off and they have recovered Strength, they then join the washed Sheep of the flock.
This is a Much Superior Method to hand washing. The Spout washer can turn out three Sheep in a Minute, and the wool can be made Much cleaner in a Shorter time, and also be made as clean as it possibly can be got.
