DISTRICT OF NEW ENGLAND.
EGYPTIAN WHEAT
This wheat of which the above is a drawing, is represented as very productive,it bears Several ears upon one Stalk. The Egyptian wheat has been Sown in England, but the Climate and Soil do not Suit it.
The wheat harvest in Egypt begins four months after Sowing the Seed, and the reapers Cut off the ears, leaving the Stubble Standing. Presuming that the Climate & Soil of the Northern Districts of New South Wales is more favourable for the Cultivation and production of this Valuable grain than England, it is recommemded for trial in the Districts of Moreton, Darling, Burnett, [gland?], Fitz Roy, and Port Curtis Country.
