BALAARAT [sic] MARCH 8th 1855
LARGE NUGGET“
A very fine nugget has rewarded the enterprise of a Councilwoman named Tresize and her party of nine. It was found in the drive of a hole on Botany ?] Hill at a depth of 185 feet. There is not a speck of quartz to be seen and it is one of the purest [indecipherable] to be discerned. Its weight is 47 pounds 7 ounces.
