Friday 15 March [1918]
Up at 9.30. Fine but rather cold. Went up at 11.40 on Offensive Patrol with six machines. Saw many Huns in the distance. Dived at seven Albatros but they would'nt fight. James & Hay got one out of control & Claye & I got four driven down. A good bit of formation work as no one went down low after them. Worked on Claye's gun all the afternoon. To bed fairly early.
