Friday 9 August [1918]
Up at 7 & to Port Meadow. Did dual till 9.30 & then back to Wing to breakfast. Down to Port Meadow again & did a little dual. Flew over to Witney in a Pup. Had lunch there. Spent the afternoon doing more dual. Had a forced landing which delayed me a lot. Flew back in the Pup to Oxford. After dinner yarned with Elliot from 44 T.D.S.
