Monday 24 June [1918]
Up at 6. Did dual till 8 when it started to rain. Down to breakfast & yarned with Moore afterwards. Went over to see Kerrnish before lunch. Flew again from 2 p.m. & did more dual. Flew over to Barnsley and landed there. Had tea with Mrs. Vidal & flew back about 7.30. Went up in a Bristol before dinner. Played poker after with Horsborough, Moore, Child & Kerr. The war news is good for the Italians have driven the Austrians back across the Piave [River].
