Tuesday 10 December [1918]
Up at 9.30. Raining fairly steadily. Went to Port Meadow & started for Barnsley for lunch but my engine siezed at Witney. Landed there & had lunch. Moore flew me back to Oxford. Went down town about the Christmas Cards before tea. Moore & Hanlon came to dinner & we all went down to the "Mitre" after. Back about 11 & yarned.
