Tuesday 19 February [1918]
Up at 5.45. Breakfast at 6. Left ground at 7.10. Very thick ground haze made it very hard to find the way. Patrolled from Bethune to Bapaume for two hours at 17000 feet. Very cold & uninteresting. Landed at 9.55. Shaved & changed. Worked on my engine all day. Huns over again at dinner time. To bed fairly early.
