Monday 5 August [1918]
Up at 9.30. The Colonel goes off to a course at the Guards' Barracks today. Saw him about the row between Oades & Stuart Worthey. Oades will have to get another job. Went round to the Group to see Dobson. In afternoon did a few odd jobs. Went to dinner with Mrs. Bruce-Lockhart and to the Fete at Headington after. Raining heavily & rather damp for us as we had to walk back. To bed about 12.
