Friday 21 June [1918]
Up at 9. To aerodrome after breakfast. Had a yarn to Collier who was over. Apparently the idea is that a Group Gosport is to be formed & I am to be given charge of it. That will be very "bon". In afternoon Williams from Gosport landed on his way north. He told me that they have given me a 1A Category – which is more than I expected! Went up in a DH6 to test the weather which was utterly "dud" & turned to rain. Played poker after dinner with Barnett, Moore, Taylor & Child. To bed about 11.
