Tuesday 30 April [1918]
Up at 10.30. Still another frightfully "dud" day. Went up to aerodrome. Yesterday the Huns took Scherpenberg, Mont Rouge & Mont Vidaigne but the French recaptured them. Read after lunch. After tea went off & had some more rifle practice with Claye & the C.O. I shot quite decently at last! Had a K.R.R. captain (Davis) & some of the other mess to dinner. Played some bridge after.
