Saturday 21 September [1918]
Up at 9. To Port Meadow & did dual in the morning. In afternoon to Witney and did some dual. Back to the wing about 7 & found that there was a dance arranged. Got Mary & Margaret to come & had a most cheery evening.
Cable to Mother & Father
Amusing episode at Witney.
Weare to Beaver:- "Can't you get Sammy to go away soon. He's a good chap but too keen on flying!"
