Saturday 4 May [1918]
Up at 9.30. Very "dud" – thick mist. Did various jobs at aerodrome & had my hair cut. Gibbons & Knights are O.K. – they had a forced landing. Savage has got the M.C. & Sgt. Johnson a bar to his D.C.M. [Distinguished Conduct Medal]. Very bon! In evening went to 2A.S.D. in the car with the C.O. & Clarke & flew a new machine back. Played some bridge after dinner.
