Tuesday 7 May [1918]
Up at 10.30. Very "dud" again. Did some Saw about fittings for my double gun & did various other jobs. General Hogg came & discussed formation tactics with us. He is very sound on the subject & is very willing to listen to what pilots have to say. Went off in the car to St. Omer with Claye & the C.O. Had dinner at the George Robey. Picked up a new pilot – Chubb – and then came back. The Americans go tomorrow. Palardy died this morning.
