Wednesday 29 May [1918]
Up at 9.30. Cable from home – they are so much bucked at my return. Played golf with Maurice in the morning. In afternoon we all sailed to near Cliff & took our tea with us. After tea went on to Cliff. Had an awful pull back against the tide – didn't get back till about 8 p.m.! Had dinner & then went to Mrs. Pearce's. Very tired & bored stiff!!
