Saturday 15 June [1918]
Up at 9. Did some solo in the morning. Very windy & bumpy. Rained later. Did a few landings after lunch. Flying washed out owing to rain. As soon as the weather clears I am to be passed out. Wired to the squadron & got 48 hours leave on the completion of the course & got it. Read & wrote letters in afternoon. Got more mail from home – bon! Yarned with Watson, Monk, Hayward & the M.O. after dinner.
