Saturday 3 August [1918]
Up at 9. Another home mail at last – very bon! Worked in the office till 11.30. Caught the 11.50 to Fairford & got a lift to Barnsley where I spent a very pleasant afternoon. Back by the 6.35. Dinner at the Mitre & then back to the Wing. To bed fairly early.
