Wednesday 17 July [1918]
Finished the dance at 4 a.m. & drove back to the aerodrome. To bed at 4.30. Up at 9. Had breakfast & then flew back to Oxford through rain. Settled down to a very heavy morning's work at the Wing on the Progress Reports. toiled on after lunch. Colonel Jenkins & Major Tweedie came to see what I am doing. They stayed for tea. Worked on till dinner time. Yarned after dinner.
