Monday 28 January [1918]
Up at 9. After breakfast loaded up the transport & handed over the camp. Sent off the two Workshop lorries by road. Went down town in the car with Davis & Sutton. Went to Cox's & got some money. Then to D.A.D.R.T., R.F.C. Port Depot and A.S.C. [Air Support Control] to get accumulator repaired. Back to lunch at camp. In afternoon went for a walk with Sampson. Down town about 6 & got the accumulator for car. Dinner at camp. Waited till 9.30 & got convoy formed and all the men on the lorries. Left camp at 11 & got to the station at 11.30 p.m. but trucks were not ready for loading to begin.
