Monday 27 May [1918]
Up at 9.30. After breakfast read the papers etc. Got the proofs of the photos Bry & I had taken – they are excellent. Also got the snaps I took of the squadron which are awfully good. Went out in the boat & sailed to Coombe where we had a picnic lunch. Our fishing efforts were a washout! Sailed back & landed Aunty, Mary & Bryan at Ready Money Cove. Poor old Maria was very seasick! Maurice & I sailed the boat back to the shed & then walked round to the links where we met the others & all had tea. Played a round of golf. Back to dinner. Played "Slippery Sam" after & I lost a pile of money to the family!
