From: Mother 26 & 25 dup., Mrs. Claye
Monday 17 June [1918]
Up at 10. To Regent Place & found Maurice just getting up. We went off to Jackson's about our receipt for claiming passage money. Then to Bank & got letters & cashed my draft for dividend sent by Father. Lunch at the Troc. Maurice to Hotel to pack. I went to Prince's to do some telephoning & met Geoffrey Clarke. Got theatre seats. Then to Jacksons. Did a little shopping & met Maurice at the Troc. for tea. Back to Regent Palace with him. He, Mary, Margaret, Geoffrey Clarke & I had dinner at the Florence & met Aunty after at the Royalty where we saw "The Man from Toronto" – a very good play. Raining heavily after but we managed at taxi. Tea at Regent Palace & saw M. home. Met old Simpson at the Grosvenor.
