Saturday 10 August [1918]
Up at 9.30. Major Clifton came round & we went to the Group & then to Port Meadow. Lunch at the Wing. In afternoon flew to Rendcomb on Baron's Avro. Had tea with Edwards who had Mrs. Vidal & Miss Barnby to tea. Tested three people after tea. Flew back to Port Meadow & by sidecar to the Wing to dinner. Yarned after dinner. The war news is good – 24000 prisoners. There were 50 machines missing yesterday!!
