Saturday 7 December [1918]
Up at 9.30. to Port Meadow with Beaver & the C.O. Beaver & I flew to Witney but it was too "dud" for dual. Flew round choosing forced landing grounds. Back to Port Meadow at 12.30 & to the Wing with the C.O. To town by the 4.30 train & caught a train to Ealing. Had a cheery evening yarning to Aunty & Mary & Helen Barlow. Bed about 12.
