Tuesday 3 November [1918]
Up at 9. Flew over to Bicester before lunch. Major Stent pulled the leading edge off my Avro & laid it up there. Lunch with the Minchins. In afternoon tested Crowther on a Bristol. Flew back to Port Meadow on a Sop Pup. Tea at Wing & did some work after. Wrote letters after dinner. Major Henderson told me that my recommendation for a squadron from France has never come through!
