Sunday 3 February [1918]
Up at 9. Feeling rather sick still. Took the flight up at 11.45 in formation for a trip to Bethune, Armentieres, Hazebrouck & Aire. Tested my gun from 12000 ft. firing into Hun-land. The formation was excellent – most promising. A great batch of letters at last. Worked in the flight till tea time. Wrote letters after. To bed early.
