Thursday 22 August [1918]
"Washout Day" for Squadrons. Up at 8. After breakfast went off in a sidecar to look for "Girlie" & found her in a garden on the Woodstock Road. Worked in the office till lunch time. Down to Port Meadow & then to the Group for tea. Back to Wing & played tennis. Farewell party to Colonel Martyn who goes to hospital tomorrow. Major Learmount takes his place pro tem. Danced till after 4 a.m.!
