Wednesday 18 December [1918]
Up at 10. Worked on Progress reports in the morning. After lunch flew Beaver to Witney. He collected the Bristol Scout & I flew back the Avro. He forced landed near Eynsham & I landed beside him in a field nearly under water. Found he had a broken petrol pipe so flew to Port Meadow for a machine & tools & flew them back. Fixed him up & we both got back before dark. Boxed with Beaver after tea. Wrote letters in the evening.
