Saturday 19 January [1918]
Up at 9. Raining during the morning. Worked in the sheds all day. Much severe strafe about the Vickers guns, which I found in very bad condition. I have to go at 7.30 on Monday morning. By sidecar to Barnsley for dinner to say good bye to the Vidals. Left at 9 but had two punctures on the way back!! Packed till midnight.
