Wednesday 3 July [1918]
Up at 9 to aerodrome. Very hot & bumpy but I got a bit of dual done. Lunch at billet & packed my kit after & sent it to camp. To aerodrome after tea & worked hard at dual as it was very calm. Sent Hutcheon off solo & he did very well indeed. Dinner at the mess. Back to camp & fixed up my room. Yarned with Taylor till after midnight. There is a young earthquake going on at this station! It is now a T.D.S. [Training Depot Station] under Major Bentley & apparently the three squadron commanders will get it in the neck! I wonder what will happen?
